Newbold Connect

Faith that travels into everyday life.

A space where the distance between what you believe and how you live starts to close.

Short, cinematic Classes from Newbold College of Higher Education — built around one question: what does faith actually look like on a Tuesday?

YOU PROBABLY DON'T NEED MORE THINGS TO BELIEVE

You've heard the sermons. You've done the reading. You carry a faith that matters to you — and you want it to matter in the meeting room, in the conversation you keep avoiding, in the way you rest, lead, spend, decide.

The gap isn't a faith problem. It's a practice problem.

Newbold Connect is being built as a space where that gap starts to close — not through more information, but through reflection, small actions, and the kind of teaching that doesn't leave you at the door of Monday wondering what to do with it.

WHAT A CLASS LOOKS LIKE

Short

Short, structured Episodes — each one designed to fit a commute, a lunch break, or a quiet half-hour. Not a retreat you can't take.

 Cinematic

Filmed with care and intention. Not a talking head on a white wall — a visual experience that takes the subject seriously, because we think you do too.

Practice-first

Each Class is built around reflection and action, not just more things to know. Most Episodes include an Action Step — one specific practice to carry into your week.

Scholars and practitioners

Each Class is led by a doctor, researcher, or specialist practitioner — selected for the depth of their thinking and the quality of their practice. The same rigour as a degree programme — without the essay.

What's coming

CLASSES OPENING ON 27 JUNE

Detox Your Life — Dr Dominique Thomsen On simplicity, digital overload, and recovering the margin to live intentionally.

Know Your Value — Morton Patterson On identity, worth, and how faith reshapes the way you see yourself — and lead others.

Modernity, Burnout and the Search for Hope — Marianne Thieme On why the pace of modern life feels unsustainable, and what a grounded, faith-informed life might look like instead.

More Classes launching alongside them.

Newbold College faculty Classes are currently in development — joining the platform in the months that follow.

Who this is for

DOES ANY OF THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

  • You believe your faith should shape how you work — but the connection between worship and the rest of the week still feels like something you're supposed to have figured out by now.
  • You lead people and you want that leadership to come from somewhere real — not just competence, but character.
  • You're a pastor, elder, or ministry team member looking for trusted formation resources — for your own growth, and for the people you serve.
  • You're a friend or alumnus of Newbold, and you want to stay close to its scholarship in a format that fits the life you actually have.
  • You're simply curious — about faith, about practice, about what it means to live with intention.

If any of that resonates — you're in the right place.
