Life and Wellbeing The Resilient Brain
Your brain has the capacity to heal. But you need to know what actually works — not shame, not willpower alone, not just medication. The Resilient Brain is an 8-episode formation class grounded in both neuroscience and Scripture, built for anyone navigating depression or helping someone who is. Over 35 years of psychiatric practice, Dr Timothy Jennings has walked alongside people through the complexity of depression, and this class is built from what he has seen actually transform lives. In this class, you will practise identifying the brain circuits and lifestyle factors that drive resilience or depression, and apply evidence-based interventions across sleep, movement, thought patterns, nutrition, spirituality, and connection.

The premise
What you'll practise
Map your brain's alarm system
Understand the brain circuits involved in depression — how your stress response gets stuck, and why truth, forgiveness, and social connection can reset it.
Audit your default thinking patterns
Identify whether fear-based or love-based thinking is driving your background mental noise, and why this matters neurobiologically.
dentify your personal vulnerability factors
Name what, in your own life (sleep, diet, movement, unresolved guilt, isolation) is pushing your brain toward depression or resilience. Then choose one to change this week.
Build your brain health protocol
Design and begin one sustainable change across each domain: movement, sleep, nutrition, thought patterns, connection, and spirituality.
